25 Random Things About Me

1 - I have an obsession with putting things in order. Even if that order makes no sense to anyone but me.
2 - That obsession got me the job I have now. It's a great job, even though I don't get enough hours.
3 - I have gained close to 70 pounds since I moved to the south. I blame much of that on quitting smoking, and some on laziness and bad habits.
4 - I have lost 12 of those pounds since the beginning of the year. I intend to lose another 50 before I'm done.
5 - I think I have more decorations for Halloween than I do for Christmas. And I like it that way.
6 - I get really nasty headaches when I don't drink enough water. Like spike through the eye-socket nasty.
7 - I have been knitting since May of 2005. I wish I'd learned long before then - it would have made working third-shift much more bearable.
8 - I am a terrible shutterbug. This is evidenced by the 4 memory cards worth of pictures trapped on my old computer .. all from Spain.
9 - I have traveled to London, Spain, Santa Fe and New York all by plane.
10 - I have an unexplainable fear of planes. not the flying. just the planes themselves.
11 - I have driven all across the east coast. To New Hampshire, to Florida, to Michigan, to Missouri, to Louisiana, and nearly every state in between.
12 - I have not spoken to anyone I knew in high school since I left high school.
13 - For the most part, this fact doesn't trouble me. Though I am curious to find out what happened to some of the people I knew.
14 - Most of my closest friends I've met online.
15 - I met my husband online too, long before the days of E-Harmony and Match and other 'dating service' websites.
16 - To say I love my husband goes without saying. He is my best friend. And puts up with my moody self. He's a saint for that.
17 - I have changed my major four total times through my college career. Beginning with Architecture, then to Computer Science, then English and now Humanities.
18 - After finishing my undergraduate degree, I intend to finish my Masters. I will probably be 40 before I'm done.
19 - I no longer think of 40 as old.
20 - I am a very selfish person.
21 - I neither have nor wish to have children. My husband and I agree on this.
22 - I rarely speak to my own family. I know i should feel bad about this, but I don't really.
23 - I share my food with my cat. This is nothing new. I used to share my food with my dog.
24 - I'm a very different person than I was in high school. I'm very glad about this, because I don't like the person I was in high school.
25 - I don't tolerate people well in general, but most of all willful ignorance and stupidity.
