New Mexico!!

We went into Santa Fe today .. it's about a 20 minute drive from the inn we're staying at. It's a beautiful drive too ... and we got to see snow-capped mountains. That's the first time I've ever seen a snow-capped mountain in person. =) Larissa said thay must have gotten the snow yeserday, too, becaue they weren't like that for her first few days. Which is really neat.

Oh! Before Santa Fe, we had breakfast here .. cos .. well, it's a bed and breakfast so .. that's what you do. There's a bunch of people staying here .. a couple ladies from North Carolina, even. and then when we left we got to see the llamas. There are a pair of them on the grounds .. both really cute. I need to get my camera out and take pictures, definitely.

Santa Fe was really really fun. We shopped in a couple little places, then had lunch at Cafe Pasqual's. It was some of the best food I've ever had. So good I had to buy the cookbooks. One of them was for mexican hot chocolate .. which is what I had there. And for a yummy-licious sammich with grilled chicken, manchego, caremelized onions on toasted corn bread. SOO GOOD!

Then we shopped a while longer .. I didn't get anything really, but there's a few places we might go back to. We're gonna go back to Santa Fe Saturday, to go to the farmer's market, where I can look at getting some hand-spun yarn and handmade soaps and stuff.

Oh! And we went to a chocolate place called Kakawa Chocolate Hose. They make 'chocolate elixirs' .. which are really fancy hot chocolates I guess. We tried about a dozen before buying a couple to take with us. And got some truffles.

Tomorrow I think we're going up to Taos. That should be fun, and I'll be taking pictures I'm sure. Friday we go riding, Saturday back to Santa Fe like I said, then Sunday I think we're gonna stay close and relax cos we fly back on Monday.
