Puppies? Puppies will make them sleep ...

My father in law called my husband last Saturday informing him that he had just picked up six .. I repeat for dramatic effect six dogs from a man who bred them who was giving them away because of health issues. He had not discussed this with his wife, my loving and much frazzled mother-in-law. He just brought them home, and let her find out that way. Nice of him, hmm?

He means well, my father-in-law. He really does. He's gone through scheme after scheme since being laid off by the company he worked for when I moved here. He's even gone overseas -twice- to teach english to Asian students - once in China, once in South Korea. While he enjoyed the experiences, I think he needs to learn that there is no 'get rich quick' method. He just needs to take a job, and not be all 'But I want to do something fulfilling'. As he keeps telling us .. it's easier to find a job when you have a job.

Anyway. On to the puppies!

This is Polly. She came with that name. We're not entirely certain we like it, but that's the name she's registered under. Jason wants to make it something like .. Polynesia or something. She has a little mark on her nose but no one knows what happened. I think she was rough-housing with her sister.

This is Molly. She is the aforementioned sister. Again, unsure we like the name, but for now, Polly and Molly it is. It's not like either of them actually respond to their names.

This is Blondie - who I for some reason always want to call Goldie - and Tramp. Blondie is very -very- skittish, and won't come close enough to let anyone touch her. This of course is teaching her pups - of which Tramp is one - very bad habits. This is not acceptable. But we're working on it.

This is scam - he's the scruffy one - and Jezebel - she's the lighter one with the smoother colored coat. They're Labra-doodles. Golden-lab and standard poodle crossbreeds. These two are far more social than their mother - Blondie - and their brother - Tramp. I have decided I like them the best.

This is another picture of Scamp. He's my little buddy. He follows me around everywhere. Then again, so does Molly. Both of them get underfoot .. just this little guy manages it better because he's .. well .. little.
